As a Production Quality Engineer you will be responsible implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view.
Your responsibilities
- Assisting in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements. Validating that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks
- Representing the Voice of the Customer within local teams. Challenging the teams with customer experience feedback and input to decisions. Evaluating risks, problems and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view
- Utilizing ABB Group aligned systems and tools to assist the engineering function with product data and analysis to validate that products continue to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle. Utilizing Advanced product quality planning (APQP) to assure effective introduction of new products
- Utilizing the local quality management system to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
- Leading the local teams in the application of an operational approach and system of process management that is continually evaluated for effectiveness
- Performing audits and using quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non conformances within the local operations, its suppliers and customers. Your background
- 5 years of working experience in Process Quality
- Sound knowledge of control/technology in manufacturing industry
- Good experience in problem solving and must be capable of leading and learning
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Machinery or related majors
- L6S Green Belt or Painting related experience is preferred
- Fluency in oral and written English communication skills, CET-4 or above is preferred
