This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer).

The intern will lend support to current production tasks, quality assurance, resource allocation, database maintenance and updates, process improvement initiatives, project analysis, design and implementation, as well as assist in ongoing workflows.

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Provides technical problem solving and quality expertise to production teams.
• Performs root cause analysis of complex technical problems.
• Helps drive Quality Improvement activities for all Plant Spartanburg.
• Performs day-to-day responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Driving daily production meeting starting at 6:30 AM.
• Participates in line balance workshops.
• Supports Work Organization activities.
• Leads cross-functional quality improvement teams – focusing on proactive quality measures.  Analysis of previous New model launches and current quality landscape to function as Lessons Learned for Hall 52 future launch of next gen vehicle.  Participate in process waste reduction from identification to elimination.

• Technical Degree, Spoken/written technical English, safety standards, team skills, project management.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions. 
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.  
• THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (January 3, 2022 - May 6, 2022)
