Eaton’s ES-Americas, Canada Division is currently seeking a Scheduler to join our team. This position will be based at our Perth, Ontario facility. Position Overview: The production scheduler is responsible for developing and coordinating production schedules by analyzing past and present data to generate effective production orders, and then communicate to all stakeholders in a proactive manner. In this role, you will: Create, monitor and analyze production schedules in accordance with Eaton standards and best practice Monitor real-time production process and workflow in the operation to ensure on-time delivery Efficiently assign production to minimize company costs and meet deadlines in accordance with sales forecast, plant, and employee capacity, and new business opportunities Review production specifications, identify, and report plant capacity constraints Work with the Supervisor/Manager to explore and implement process improvements Coordinate with other stakeholders, including production, purchasing, and finance teams to develop and maintain scheduling parameters Apply your deep knowledge of inventory management processes Be ready and flexible to assist the team with other assignments and tasks When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we - as individuals and as a company - are stronger. Qualifications Education and Experience Basic (Required) Qualifications: Diploma/Certificate in an associated field Minimum one year of work experience in Inventory Management, Production Scheduler/Planner or similar position within a production environment Demonstrated experience in resource planning Working knowledge of engineering drawings Intermediate/advanced computer skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take independent initiative when the need arises Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary degree in a relevant technical discipline Oracle and WMS software experience Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Strong analytical, leadership, and planning skills Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational and time management skills Solid work ethic What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
