Job Objective:
The purpose of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that our production operations deliver the highest quality product to the customer in the shortest possible lead time and lowest cost by continuously developing people and processes and through the relentless elimination of operational waste.

-S ense of urgency, experience in the automotive industry, personnel management, metric monitoring and equipment management, work under pressure.
Technical Competences:
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific functions:
1.-Provides a safe working environment and ensures all assigned personnel have proper safety equipment and tools for safe completion of assigned tasks and budget management.
2.-Communication: The production Supervisor is responsible for daily communications with the OU and SU employees. Daily, clear expectations are to be flowed down to Team Leades via work assignment reports, metrics boards, etc. The production Supervisor is responsible for managing pass-downs between shifts to ensure the shop runs without undue interruptions.
3.-Planning: The production Supervisor shall coordinate with the logistics Supervisor to ensure On Time Delivery meets or exceeds our internal metrics. Issues with scheduling, capacity and lead times shall be dealt with quickly and late or “at risk” jobs will be communicated to customer at the earliest opportunity.
4.-Operations Support: The production Supervisor shall guide, support and develop production teams. Through development of people, processes and equipment, the production Supervisor is responsible for executing the strategic vision of upper management. Embracing and driving change are key to success in this position.
5.-Promote Quality: The production Supervisor shall set the example to manufacturing for what quality is in Daimler. They shall conform to and work to improve our quality management system.
6.-Growth and Training: The production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a cross functional team via the cross training program. They are responsible for executing Team Leaders and Team Members selections of candidates who can perform at high levels throughout the organization and afford them the tools and training to be successful.
7.-Safety Accountability: The production Supervisor shall promote and accomplish with the SIS.Weekly intentional walks should be done with a focus on safety related issues. Acting quickly when concerns are raised and pro-actively promoting a safe work environment is critical.
8.-Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
