Our Team Technology Services Group (TSG) is the technology enabler for our firm. Our services provide a strong, resilient, and stable platform to host business processes while enabling innovation Our TSG Operations team supports critical infrastructure for core business applications. We deliver capacity to support existing and new business activity, while owning and governing enterprise demand and capacity management standards, policies, processes, operating models, and tools. Our team provides 24x7x365 support for incidents, changes, and requests for key services including: Data Center Operations; Global File Transfer; Batch and Mainframe Operations; Global Data Center Strategy; planning/governing infrastructure disaster recovery services, playbook and TSG Business Continuity Plans. The Role We are seeking Production Support Analyst - Batch Scheduling. TSG Infrastructure Operations is involved in Batch Services, Scheduling, Mainframe Operations and File Transfer Services across multiple Mainframe and Distributed environments. The infrastructure systems are available 24/7 except maintenance hours. You will work on File Transfer Platforms like Sterling File Gateway, Bizlink and Connect Direct:NDM on both Mainframe and Distributed Platforms. You will be a Lead Operations Analyst involved in troubleshooting, problem solving, incident handling, while actively engaging in priority call as well as with other technology teams when required to bring the issues to resolution. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for operations and production support handling Service Now incident tickets from Lines of Business users and Clients and involving in troubleshooting and break-fix for any failed file transmissions, re-play failed file transmissions and monitoring of Global File Transmission Services infrastructure dashboard spread across systems like Mainframe, Distributed Systems(Windows / Unix), including GFTS critical Platform applications like Bizlink, Sterling File Gateway, Connect Direct NDM (Windows, Unix, Mainframe) and SWIFT File Act etc. Participation in Priority calls/adhoc calls and with effective communication and technical skills, driving It towards incident closure with effective troubleshooting skills Identify manual processes and opportunities for automation, reduction on non-actionable alerts and remediation of vulnerabilities Resolves reports of various infrastructure problems dealing with the mainframe, mid-range, distributed, web, and PC environments. Works with users and management to install infrastructure software to establish and maintain the integrity of the software products life cycle. Assists with implementation and maintenance activities for computer system software and configurations. Performs environment health checks as per the procedures and request provisioning. Assists in coordinating changes to software configurations. Designs, codes, and implements infrastructure software. Assists management and users with basic hardware and software needs when recommendations are made for upgrades or new purchases. Assists more senior members of the middleware team with the installation, configuration and development of middleware utility programs and related distributed system software on multiple mainframe/distributed hardware/software environments. Aids the middleware team in providing on-site and on-call support through analysis and research. Communicates both formally and informally with customers and end users. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience required 0-1 years of experience required; related internship experience is a plus Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience required 0-1 years of experience required; related internship experience is a plus Knowledge on Operating Systems like Unix, Mainframe and Windows. Strong fundamental knowledge on Managed File Transmissions (MFT) concepts. Knowledge / Work Experience / Operational support Experience in the file transmission tools/products like OpenText Bizlink, IBM SFG (Sterling File Gateway) Connect:Direct NDM for replaying failed transmissions, troubleshooting issues (cause of delays of file not available, file not transmitted/delivery issues/job failures). Experience in participation of priority issues / calls with external / internal clients for troubleshooting issues, problem solving and possessing excellent communications skills. Experience in operations of Service Management tools like Remedy / ServiceNow, Monitoring of real time dashboards for infrastructure, file delivery failures, monitoring and handling incident queue etc. Preferred: Scripting skills in Unix Shell script / Python an added advantage Any equivalent File Transmission Platform work experience BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
