JOB PURPOSE

Production & Vendor Management coordinator coordinates and manages actions and information to support production deliveries and vendors performance, in a manner congruent with the critical path, and goals of the division. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise vendors of seasonal buying/production calendar, unit plans & negotiate minimums as applicable, working with Supply Planning for guidance on seasonal demand and forecast. 
  • Manage communication with vendors on raw material call-offs & receipts, ensuring production needs are met in accordance with critical path and delivery schedule. 
  • Contribute to new Vendors scouting and manage counter-sourcing  
  • Partner with product dev. each season to action sourcing needs based on product 
  • Report supply data into the system,  
  • Monitor on-time deliveries from vendors, troubleshooting with team & business partners as necessary 
  • Partner with Technical and quality teams to coordinate activities needed for critical path fulfilment.  
  • Participate in weekly cross-functional meetings 
  • Support global CR to ensure timely approval of vendors and alignment with global requirements. 
  • Ensure that data accuracy is maintained. 
  • Manage information on the appropriate systems, looking for process improvements in data and information management. 
  • Update PLM and SAP systems 
  • Liaise with product development for updated BOM information as needed. 
  • Liaise with Customer Operations for timely receipt of orders and advise Customer Service when orders are retimed. 
  • Prepare updates for weekly production meetings. 
  • Participate in vendor performance analysis each season. 
  • Communicate best working practises, changes to existing practises or key seasonal information, to vendors. 
  • Manage, train and develop Sourcing Assistant as and when required and as requested by the Sourcing Manager. 
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • MsOffice, SAP/PLM is desirable 
  • Leather Goods Product knowledge; previous experience in production/manufacturing role. 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication & time management skills. 
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with peers and cross-functional business partners. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through. 
  • Organized, efficient, self-motivated, solution-oriented individual. 
  • Works well as both team leader & team member. 
  • Ability to react to change. 
  • Italian not mandatory but would be an asset
