Eaton’s Commercial Residential and Distributions Solutions Division (CRDS) is seeking a FIRST shift Production Worker for its Marina Power and Lighting (MP&L) operation. This position will be located at the MP&L facility in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. Starting Pay is $16.25. Work hours are 6AM - 2:30PM. This individual will assist in several work areas and will have familiarity with all the departments’ machinery / functions and will perform flexible assignments as required by the operation as volumes shift. In this role you will: Assist painters by prepping units and operating the crane and loading and unloading parts onto the paint racks Assist fabricators/machine operators with processing orders through the fabrication department; duties include riveting, sanding material, unloading parts off the laser, and hardware installation Assemble components of standard and engineered to order products using hand tools, torque drivers, pneumatic tools Organize and prepare finish goods for assembly and shipment including palletizing all needed components Operate all material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, etc. Assist Welders with finalizing product for completion including grinding and spot-welding components You will perform routine preventative maintenance when required to ensure peak performance of all manufacturing equipment Perform other duties as required including flexing to other departments Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum one year work experience in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution environment Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Previous fabrication experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Position Criteria: Ability to obtain and maintain medical clearance for respirator use required for the painting operation While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is regularly required to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
