Siemens Electrification & Automation (EA) Business is currently seeking a Products Portfolio Manager for Low/Medium Voltage Circuit Breakers Components and Protection & Control and IoT/Digitalization business to join our team! This position is based at our Oakville, ON facility. The Products Manager is responsible for providing support to Siemen’s product management, sales staff, channel partners and customers in pre-sales through post-sales capacity. In this role, you will have responsibility for technical application support and marketing of Low Voltage Power Circuit Breakers and Medium Voltage Circuit Breakers to the internal and external customer base in Canada. This includes the application of assigned product lines for OEM customers and support of aftermarket inquiries, quotations, and pricing strategies and push our SI EA - IoT/Digitalization offerings revolving around this product lines . The individual is responsible for researching and developing ideas and processes for new marketing initiatives, and coordinating new product development with US/ Germany to reduce integration cycle time and realize faster return on investment in the Canadian market Ensures that the new business pipeline is healthy with an emphasis on sales on MV/PA products. Roll out and managing of partner- and licensing programs Market-oriented pricing for the sales channels in coordination with other internal departments, work with End Users/OEM’s to develop proposals and present the Siemens value proposition to the customer as required. Works with the other sales within EA and other BU’s and project team to develop opportunity business cases. Working knowledge of Protective Relays & Substation Automation products Good Understanding of IoT/Digitalization Canadian market, essential to package EA - IoT/Digitalization portfolio scope within the MV Components/ Protection & Control offerings Works closely with account managers and maintains sound customer relationships. Developing and maintaining pricing strategies Supports the development of market trend/dynamics analyses and how they impact intake performance. Proactively develops and executes action plans to ensure intake goals Market-oriented pricing for the sales channels in coordination with other internal departments. Gathering information about markets, customers, sales channels, competitors with their corresponding products to identify relevant business volume. Consulting of customers on new products with respect to MV Products and Protective Relays and Substation Automation products and Licensing topics. Be a competent partner to discuss new products, solutions and requirements together with our customers Supports the strategic planning process through understanding and effective communication of customer needs. Supports the development of customer needs analysis as required. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the product portfolio, new technology needs and future application requirements. Maintains a current knowledge of competitor’s products and identifies strengths and weaknesses compared to Siemens Medium Voltage Business You will assist customers with application of products – during both presales and post sales activities including responding to sales and customer technical requests, interpreting customer product specifications, and drawing requirements. You will engage targeted end-users to drive specification of Siemens components, thus creating demand for Siemens products across multiple OEMs. You will provide support of Siemens components in customer switchgear, switchboard and custom panel platform consultations, including understanding test standards and product application to address customer technical problems and quality issues. You will recommend technical content for value proposition creation and value selling tools through intimate knowledge of OEM customers, markets segments served and associated industry trends. You will lead continuous improvement activities, including project management initiatives, to improve the deployment of marketing tools, deploy standardized processes and strategy for new/existing product development/designs. You will drive continual price realization, while achieving market share and profitability goals for the product line. You will be creating and maintaining standard pricing tools and associated discount schedules for assigned products within the Siemens Pricing System. You will assist in providing product specific training and development of training materials for internal and external customers, and targeted OEM. You will communicate and work closely with product engineering and manufacturing staff locally and globally to facilitate the production of high-quality products in a timely manner, and ensure alignment with US and Global teams on new product development and new product launches. You will lead the marketing duties and projects in order to fulfill product goals as identified by the product manager. You will work effectively with internal sales organization and external customers to provide timely and comprehensive quotations and understanding of products while employing value creation strategies to maximize profit margins Plans and conducts the implementation of services from concept phase to market entry addressing all elements of a service offering.(Sales of Services related to MV & Protection and Control offerings What will you need to succeed? Degree in Engineering, preferable in Electrical Engineering Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Low /Medium Voltage Components & Protection & Automation Products in customer-facing role. Good understanding of IoT/Digitalization Offerings in the market that will help drive Digital Growth in SI EA Key emphasis on Products Application knowledge and After Sales (hotline) Product Support on MV Products Portfolio in customer facing role Good working knowledge of OEM and aftermarket procurement processes and be capable of developing and managing relationships with appropriate personnel. Strong Customer interface skills. Ability to uncover customer needs and translate into winning capture strategies and value propositions Strong Business Acumen – must understand market and customer trends, customer needs and impact on future product development programs, new business case financials. Strong presentation and written communication skills Strong data management skills Effective in a matrix management environment. The position requires travel up to 20-30% across Canada About us.
