PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Train OUP-associated mentors and facilitators by conducting face to face ‘train-the-trainer’ workshops which are consistent with the published content and delivery protocols as established by Oxford University Press.
2. Provide guidance and support to continuously develop OUP-associated mentors and facilitators and provide focused feedback via a variety of mentoring and coaching techniques.
3. Oversee OUP-associated mentors and facilitators via remote and in-person observation-based formative assessment, feedback data, formal assessment, and stuaus updates from reports from partner OUP-associated mentors.
4. Fulfill and maintain requirements to attain approved Mentor status for OUP China’s Professional Development program, and Oxford Teachers’ Academy approved facilitatior status from the Unviersity of Oxford Department of Continuing Education.
5. Manage project information, maintain a high quality of data capture, regularly report performance and support onging professional development plans of OUP-associated mentors and facilitators.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree, advanced qualifications/degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years experience in language training or education, Asia/China preferred
- 3+ years experience with teacher training, teacher development or educational leadership
- Experience managing an academic service delivery team (teachers/language trainers)
- Experience working independently, including remote management of staff
- Experience developing and maintaining ongoing mentoring and development programs
- Able to travel across China to deliver workshops (50+ travel days per year)
- Fluid spoken and written (CEFR C1+) English, including effective public speaking skills
