Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a young and dynamic University looking for talent. We are seeking to recruit a scholar in the broad field of Soft Power. Expertise in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:
- Soft power and influence in cultural and economic diplomacy
- Smart governance
- Data analysis and citizenship
- Comparative creativity
Affiliated to GIS, the successful candidate will be a researcher with an international reputation and will become involved in at least one of five new Labs: Augmented Creativity, Smart Societies, Data Economy, Ethics and Theoretical AI or System Health. He/She will also be expected to contribute to the teaching programme.
Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree, appropriate teaching and research experience in higher education and a solid publication record.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing September 2020. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
