Capacity Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) is the organization behind one of the World’s largest Cloud Infrastructure responsible for powering all Microsoft Products and Services as well as powering Microsoft’s “…Cloud First…” mission. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. One of our biggest challenges has been to keep up with the infrastructure growth plans and providing smart distribution of the resources to our customers.

The Capacity Customer Experience (CCE) team within CSCP, is at the tip of the Capacity Fulfillment promise for the Microsoft cloud, supporting the capacity needs of a diverse customers base distributed globally. Strong empathy for the customer, deep engineering and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to stay nimble and motivated through challenges brought up by the constantly growing and expanding customer base and demand are characteristics of our team.

 

We are looking for a passionate, and knowledgeable Program Manager to own and drive Capacity Operations areas in our team. In this role you will be addressing the customer capacity needs and driving far-reaching strategic insights about customers and their services.

The ideal candidate will have a proven history and solid engineering background, having owned and driven areas on large projects, having expertise in running large scale mission critical 24/7 online services as well as related experience in driving innovation in the operations space.

Responsibilities

  • Main responsibilities:

- Work with engineering counterparts in building the systems we need for decision making, developing customer and region-specific levers and supporting processes to aid in managing the increasing customer demand.

- Support customers in a technical advisory role helping them optimize their capacity usage.

- Deliver high fidelity analytics for regional and customer profiles that help in faster and accurate decision making.

- Collaborate across a diverse set of stakeholders including the Azure engineering team as well as the business teams, the CSCP Demand Forecasting, Capacity Planning and Partner Engagement teams on a regular basis in high-impact decisions for building new capabilities that will help serve our customers better.

- Lead and drive innovation across the Capacity Operations space

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of past Program Management experience working on large scale projects
  • BS in Computer Science, Operations, Engineering or equivalent

 

 

Preferred:

  • Solid communication skills and fluent in presenting analysis insights to both technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-driven, willing to take on big challenges, dealing with ambiguity and fast changing conditions
  • Deep customer empathy
  • Proven track record of design and technical accomplishment in solving business problems at scale
  • Proven success working in a complex environment and across a diverse set of business, engineering and operational stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data analytics – understanding data relations and driving results from data
  • Proven experience in running large scale, mission critical 24/7 online services
  • Azure Platform or Operations within a cloud service architecture, deployment and configuration
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.
