The COSINE, Devices and Gaming (CDG) Security team in the Cloud & AI organization is responsible to ensure Microsoft’s Operating Systems, hardware and software supply chain, and our Gaming services are the most trusted platforms for customer data.  Our mission is to reduce risk, increase customer trust, protect our customers and stop bad actors.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with a team of professionals focused on delivering Business Continuity Management and Risk Management programs.  This position requires the ability to navigate across the Enterprise with coordination at all levels, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly.  This Risk Management role with a focus on Resiliency is critical to ensuring that business-aligned tactics are in place to support delivery of our goals and objectives.

The Ideal Candidate - You - should be able to:

Bridge the gap between identifying operational risks across CDG and deployment resilient mitigation strategies.

Sustain and improve the CDG risk management and business continuity frameworks for identifying, mitigating and controlling operational risks across the engineering group to promote consistency, efficiency and reliability.    

Leverage risk assessments to drive business continuity and service resilience solutions in accordance with existing SOP or Standards.

Drive a Risk Management and Resiliency “Rhythm of the Business”; to increase CDG Leadership Team and stakeholder’s awareness of operational risks.

Interact with various levels of engineering, marketing, legal, finance, and management to ensure accurate information is gathered, analyzed, and reported to drive risk-based decision making and deployment of resilient mitigation strategies.

Perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to increase CDG Leadership Team awareness of operational risks and enable mitigation decisions on business continuity and service resiliency.

Understand how to turn raw data into useful, actionable information and provide dashboards, reports, and communications effectively to multiple audiences at various levels across the organization using PowerBI or similar technology.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

5+ year’s technical program and/or project management experience.

BS/BA in Computer Science; Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field or the equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of and experience with Business Continuity Management, Service Resilience, or Risk Management.

Strong experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)

Demonstrated capability to develop data models and the ability to create reports using Power BI and/or SQL.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to own and drive programs and initiatives by working through ambiguity.  

Proven track record of delivering results on time, to budget and on spec.   

Strong track record of working collaboratively and effectively with senior leaders and teams across organizational boundaries.  

Experience influencing others without authority.  

Strong operational experience in online services and business-related background.  

Strong experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)

Experience with Azure Dev Ops/Visual Studio  

Experience with Online Services Support or Architecture, and/or Software Engineering a strong plus

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
