Microsoft’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) department is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated program manager with deep experience in supporting the legal profession to join our team at the CDS headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. This program manager will be responsible for managing the development and programmatic support of agreements, rebate and marketing programs, compliance measures, and other business and CELA programs at global scale, as well as for advising business executives and working with CELA partners on a wide variety of complex legal and business issues.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the CDS WW functional teams in developing the strategy for and programmatically managing centralized programs, policies, processes, resources, and training to help grow the CDS business at global scale, including to:
- Support the ongoing management of the Global Partner Agreement licensing framework and related tools, templates, training, and processes;
- Support the CDS WW Sales team in developing and implementing compliant, efficient, and effective investment programs (rebates, marketing development funds, etc.);
- Collaborate with CELA colleagues and other stakeholders in launching new business models and product offerings through the CDS WW Sales partner ecosystem;
- Partner with other support functions (Operations, Controls & Compliance, Finance, Digital and Physical Supply Chain, etc.) in connection with the development and management of CDS needs and solutions; and
- Coordinate with regional CELA on creating scalable legal resources and training.
- Collaborate with various CELA colleagues and specialists on a variety of legal and regulatory issues, including all aspects of commercialization and launch of consumer and commercial products through the CDS global partner ecosystem
- Provide program management support for the CELA Consumer Community, including the related call series, tools, resources, and community engagement
- Act as a thought leader and program manager in helping the CELA CDS team refine team practices and continue to evolve its delivery of legal support
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years supporting the legal profession; paralegal experience preferred
- Strong business acumen and background in licensing, sales, and marketing preferred
- Demonstrated ability to break down silos and work strategically with others within your team and other organizations to leverage synergies and maximize impact
- Understand the upstream and downstream effects of policies, standards, and controls
- Ability to lead multiple projects with cross-group stakeholders and effectively leverage available resources to drive results through established program and project management approaches
- Track record of successful delivery of complex solutions to support key business objectives
- Can navigate in a dynamic environment and provide structure, organization, and operational excellence within ambiguous problem space
- Is agile in focus and communications - shifting from strategic to tactical depending on the needs of the day and the audience
- Embraces feedback and is focused on continuous improvement and new ways of doing things
- Communication skills – strong written and verbal communications with the ability to clearly document and speak to business requirements and legal analysis for both business and CELA audiences
- Team player – leverage and contribute effectively to the work other others and works well in matrixed team environment.
