In this role, you have the opportunity to drive the strategy direction of the Chief Architect Office and HealthSuite Reference Architecture at Philips globally.

You are responsible for

  • Formulating, driving and being accountable for an overall program/project plan (CAO and HealthSuite Reference Architecture), in consultation with management and other parties;

  • Defining projects and their goals, coordinating the resources to be used (time, budget and information) and specifying quality standards;

  • Defining the risk of the projects and program and developing scenarios to mitigate these risks;

  • Ensuring accurate execution vs the project/program plan;

  • Coordinating effective communication-, change management-, collaboration- strategies for projects/programs as appropriate;

  • Support development of business cases for new products and services for consideration in the portfolio;

  • Keeping up-to-date with technical basics and new technology, in order to optimize the goals of each project and improve the alignment between the projects;

  • Deploying Process Improvement and Quality Assurance and making the project organization efficient and clear, in line with departmental and project processes.

The Philips Chief Architect Office (CAO) part of Chief Technology Office has the mission to define and drive Philips Architecture, Technologies and Platforms for Software and Systems, to deliver the Healthsuite System of Engagement and to ensure capabilities in software development, systems engineering, data science and AI. The CAO defines and drives the Philips HealthSuite Reference Architecture and Modular Systems Architecture, applicable for all systems, products, services, solutions and digital IT in Philips. The organization owns and realizes the ExCo-critical metric on soft- and hardware harmonization across all Philips businesses.

The CAO is consists of Program Managers, Senior Architects, Product Management and Project level teams driving defined initiatives. The role of the Philips CAO Program Manager will be to span Philips clusters and platforms – to have a large and positive impact on the strategy, revenue and cost savings for Philips as a company.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Over 5 years of experience in leading R&D programs across different locations/cultures;

  • Inspiring leadership skills on program management and facilitating change;

  • Results driven, strategic vision with good balance between now and future;

  • Organizational change skills, collaboration and networking à you can get groups to change direction.

  • Easy communication style with very strong influential skills;

  • Entrepreneurial leadership skills à crafting a strategy and actually get it done (hands-on);

  • Business skills: insight in business and financing planning
