Job Description

We are seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for leading New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to develop and launch strategic LED Specialty Fixtures for growth in the global market. This is a highly visible position will lead global cross functional teams from Technology, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Product Management and Finance to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features. 

What You'll Actually Do:

  • Launch projects on time, hitting all key milestones and commercial launch date
  • Lead design engineering team and programs to deliver new LED products and LED components
  • Prioritize design engineering resources and manage new product development to budget
  • Work with commercial team to Interface with customers regarding Voice of the Customer input
  • Partner with Quality, Manufacturing and Sourcing Teams to interface with suppliers and Current manufacturing
  • Drive projects to completion following Current’s established NPI and PLM processes
  • Lead NPI technical deliverables, leading engineering team to deliver products on time and on budget
  • Own whole product validation process from concept, feasibility, final design to production
  • Provide technical guidance to design engineers as they design and release new products
  • Be accountable for program budgets and asset management
  • Create clear, concise communications of goals, objectives, and project status through regular project meetings, NPI Pulsing and Milestone Reviews and Budget reviews

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Leadership qualities to execute in a dynamic LED industry
  • The ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes
  • Ability to manage a global internal and external customer base
  • Project planning, adaptability and analytical thinking skills

Qualifications

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Engineering Management, or other related degree.
  • 5+ years combined experience in program management/ product development in engineering.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrated inclusive behavior with strong ability to connect with and influence team members.

What We'd Like You to Have:

  • MS – Engineering or Engineering Management.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional projects.
  • Basic knowledge in lighting fundamentals, LED mechanical systems or electronics.
  • Experience in LED fixture design and applications.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Well versed stage gate processes to launch new products.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under limited supervision.
