The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG) is a newly formed group to increase focus and accelerate execution in strategic growth areas of high-performance computing and graphics for Intel. Within AXG, the Custom Compute (XCC) organization is chartered with building custom SOC silicon and packages to deliver unique solutions for customer needs. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who will play a key role driving highly complex and cross-functional features for Intel Platforms, leading programs and technologies in partnership with internal engineering teams and OEMs. You will collaborate with customers, engineering, architects and validation teams on strategy and goals, and own execution of all phases of the development cycle, gathering requirements, identifying and tracking risks and clear communication to project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is energized by having impact, is passionate about enabling high-quality user experience, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Open Source software integration is a highly impactful and this will be a critical role in establishing close cooperation with OEMs by defining the execution playbook and rhythm of operations for software releases and launches. Part of the Technical Program Manager team, the role involves understanding feature architecture, driving E2E validation usages focused across Concurrency, reliability/Stress through scalable/automated infrastructure. This person will drive customer requests disposition with full technical understanding. Responsible for providing internal and external feedback to implement upcoming features in yet-to-be-released OSes to ensure our hardware and software will function and perform as expected on next generation platforms. In particular, the responsibilities will focus on: Lead cross functional teams of architects and engineers implementing the roadmap from early stage of development through launch, with focus on Linux integration in customer environment. Lead launch/release activities as it pertains to software features and deliverables Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features, per customer expectations Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks Develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans Ensure project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
Qualifications
15 plus years experience as a Program Manager, Software or Hardware Engineering Lead for programs from inception to production
Experience in platform integration
Experience launching consumer products or delivering large software releases
Experience developing software roadmaps for complex consumer products
Knowledge of program and issue tracking tools and software dashboards
Experience building relationships and collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams
Knowledge of software development processes and best practices
Ability to communicate with customer in terms of expectations for production quality of platform
Some understanding of Linux/Chrome OS architectures, understanding of interaction with Open Source communities
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Good To Have:
1. Understanding of Linux distro ecosystem (RedHat, Ubuntu ...)
2. Understanding of platform validation and platform quality standards for Linux
3. Understanding of one or more key Intel technologies (hardware or software)

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
