Job Description
Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our team. This position can based out of one of our North America Vehicle sites in Athens, GA, Galesburg, MI, Marshall, MI, Southfield, MI, Kings Mountain, NC, Roxboro, NC, or South Bend, IN and offers a hybrid working schedule. Position Overview: Lead, develop and coordinate regional cross functional teams in the execution of manufacturing projects. Manage the regional project portfolio and provide project recommendations to operational leaders. The position will work closely with functional senior leaders for alignment to projects and performance to goals. Project status updates to be provided to Senior Leadership. This role will be required to identify team resources, goals and objectives, performance metrics and a project road map which aligns with the expectations from the organization. Project scope may consist of PROLaunch NPD & STP projects, safety, global capacity balancing, cost improvement and execution of regional manufacturing strategies. In this role, you will: Develop and communicate project scope, cadence and deliverables. Develop appropriate work plans (PROLaunch or Change Management) to ensure objectives are met and the manufacturing plants are capable to support the project requirements in quality and capacity perspectives. Maintain a regional manufacturing project portfolio Identify key regional projects which support key operational factors and/or improvement objectives Maintain key project performance tracking including leading and lagging indicators Coordinate financial and technical analysis reviews of all manufacturing projects Communicate project status to senior leadership Facilitation manufacturing Councils and support mission of councils Providing support to all project teams to assure successful completion of projects Establishing and standardize processes across VGNA operations Creating and leading development plans for self and others within the organization to ensure technical expertise in plants Driving implementation of best practices & continuous improvements projects throughout division. Developing Processes that drive world class quality Comfortable discussing financials with various levels of leadership Support STP scenarios for Capital Investment budget Develop estimations for project one-time costs (expenses) Work with Business Continuity team to improve accuracy on estimations (data) Elaborate Cost Models for financial analysis with sensitivity analysis Manage project resources expenses Drive NPI and STP “flawless launch” processes using ProLaunch tools Reduce the cost of transition process through preliminary Manufacturing studies Assure all project objectives are met within approved budget, schedules, and quality specifications When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Plant Manufacturing Operations or Manufacturing Engineering Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Athens, GA, Galesburg, MI, Kings Mountain, NC, Marshall, MI, Roxboro, NC, South Bend, IN, or Southfield, MI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from accredited institution 2+ years’ experience in the automotive industry Experience working with global teams Project management – led NPI (launches) or STP (restructuring) project or equivalent experience Strong Six Sigma skills Software skills in Microsoft project Software skills in Mini tab Software skills in AutoCad Lean Manufacturing Training Experiences (Kaizen Events) Experience with Mfg.
