Job Description
EIIC functional excellence organization is aligned to CTO’s strategy to drive “One Eaton Engineering Functional Excellence”. Charter of this organization is to simplify & create better work experiences for our Engineers by transforming existing engineering work processes. EIIC functional excellence organization will work with global Engineering Functional Excellence leaders in CTO’s office, Electrical and Industrial Sector businesses. These organizations will be responsible for developing and deploying One Eaton processes across all sectors and businesses across globe This role will work primarily to manage ProPM deployment, develop Project Management Standard work and manage and develop various user specific dashboard projects using Design Thinking and Agile Project Management Methodologies. The incumbent will have the ability to work independently with a cross-functional team to capture the database-related requirements and support ProPM implementation and provide the optimal solutions by using various data visualization tools and establishing standard works. A. Responsibilities will be to maintain ongoing dialogs with project teams in order to collect schedule and completed milestone information, prepare an ongoing comprehensive view of projects and assignments in a written or online format available for management’s use and report and forecast on schedules and budgets B. Manage effective stakeholder and team communications. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communication and manage customer expectations and commitments internal to the business. . Ensure effective change management process is utilized C. Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the project team by preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports D. Maintain metrics for project performance, quality, technical performance and delivery through PROLaunch phases E. Work with the various internal and external customers of the data and dashboards to develop a detailed list of required information. F. Organize & assemble information from diverse data sources in such a manner that the data aggregation is easily replicable and maintainable. G. Proficiently identify and apply the appropriate data analytics algorithm and come with recommendations based on the insights generated. H. Report out results in the form of various dashboards reporting measurement against targets, historical data trends and data snapshots supporting the end customers data requirements. I. Strategizes new uses for data and its interaction with data design. J. Manage multiple projects and deliver results on time and with the requisite quality K. Strive to get internally and externally recognized in this area by continuously learning and developing new algorithms in the data science space. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Computer or Electrical Engineering. 9+ years of experience of which about 2 years in the area of Project Management. Technical Knowledge • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation preferably PMP highly recommended. • Exposure of Software development lifecycles i.e. Waterfall, Agile and incremental etc. Certified Scrum master would be advantage • High proficiency in preparing and managing schedule using Microsoft Project software • Hands on experience of SQL and Share Points • Exposure of data visualization techniques and tools i.e. Qlikview, Power BI etc • Programming experience (VBA, C, R, Python) and the passion to develop new algorithms is preferred. • Computer Skills – MS Office, MS Project, knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Soft Skills • Ability to work with global teams to drive & communicate results appropriately. • Good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written • Ability to work effectively in team environment and independently • Problem solving, creativity, Technical learning and Process Management. • Foundational leadership skills along with an awareness of the latest trends in the area of data analytics. • Ability to challenge the status quo to drive data driven decisions. • Knowledge of Eaton products and its applications. • Experience of working with Global teams work experience and awareness, Strong communication skills to interact with global teams. • Good presentation skills, good attention to detail • Process Management Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done, Knows how to organize people and activities, Knows what to measure and how to measure it, Can simplify complex processes, Gets more out of fewer resources • Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, Probes all fruitful sources for answers, Can see hidden problems, Is excellent at honest analysis Looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers • Strategic Agility – sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, has broad knowledge and perspective; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans. • Decision quality – makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment • Drive for results – can be counted on to exceed goals successfully • Interpersonal savvy – relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport. • Innovation Leadership - Is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to market, Has good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work, Has a sense about managing the creative process of others, Can facilitate effective brainstorming, Can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
