Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Develop and implement Material’s processes for new projects, launch of new products and continuous improvement. Responsible for the Material’s activities of execution and implementation of the NPD Program(s) and projects and their budget allocation. Support and lead Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction & continuous improvement. Responsible for planning, executing and tracking the Material’s activities for each of the projects developed and to be developed in the site. Ensure sustainability of the SLP Project Management System in the Site. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop and define PFEP (Plan for every part) of the new part numbers related to new projects at the Plant. Define Oracle routing and transactions for new part numbers related to new projects at the Plant. Analyze problems and supervise corrections related to Material’s flow and line presentation. Maintain and improve current Material’s processes for projects to produce parts to specification Actively participate in the continuous improvement process of the plant, in projects to reduce waste including corrective actions to make an immediate impact to business results. Performs and use PROLaunch - Participating in aspects related to Materials of new released equipment and processes. Review and evaluate new products, processes equipment, material’s presentation devices and facility proposal. Lead, support and execute installation, runoff, and startup of transferred and new material’s equipment due to new projects. Comply with requirements of the Eaton Quality Management System. Champion multi-disciplinary teams in activities related to Material’s issues in projects. Lead, facilitate and coordinate Material’s activities and resources according to established proactive and/or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery or quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area. Promotes the company’s vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics code and values as well as quality policies. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results. Assure CapEx implementation. Accomplish metrics for program for the Focus 5, PRO PM, Quality, (e.g. technical performance and delivery) through all of the PROLaunch phases. Manages budget of the NPD Program(s) and projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments. Support for activities as the Materials Engineer for the different projects in sites. Complete “Project Management College” Training plan. Ensure sustainability of the “SLP Project management process.. Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial or Manufacturing engineering required. 5 years experience in Material’s environment, ideally in the automotive industry. English language at a conversational level required. Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and manufacturing processes. Experience conducting multidisciplinary teams. Green Belt (Six Sigma) desired. Oracle knowledge focuses in Material’s Processes. Strong leadership skills must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement. Knowledge of Project Management processes and MS Project. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This position requires some travel. It requires the use management skills, act as a liaison for associates at all levels. Establish a timely response for corrective actions to help drive continuous improvement through the Environmental Management Program.
