Job Description

What you will do:

1. Drive for Business Results

  • Coordinate monthly executive projects reviews and interface with all levels of Management on all aspects of Planning, Scheduling, Organizing, Directing and Controlling of their respective Program/Projects.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering and Supply Chain organizations to develop future product and commercial strategies

2. Manage 3rd Party/Branded Product Offerings

  • Make recommendations to 3rd party supplier which enhance our market position
  • Work with business channels to incorporate these products into our tools and processes
  • Working with our supplier, deliver new and innovative product offerings which grow our portfolio
  • Deliver through supply chain our 3rd party PDP processes for product advancements

3. Guide Product Fit and Function

  • Understands and can defend to a knowledgeable customer the different technologies used in the assigned products
  • Complete understanding of business processes (QC, manufacturing, pricing, sales, purchasing, etc.)
  • Reviews and provides feedback on Vision Scope and Requirements (VSR) documents for new product development

4. General Program Management

  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the Program Management organization and with the other Program Stakeholder’s
  • Execute one or more projects/programs from design and development through deployment
  • Define system level requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment
  • Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation
  • Define, sponsor and deploy process improvements to improve program/project execution and overall quality/customer satisfaction
  • Support preparation of timely and accurate financial plans and forecasts for business planning. Identify major deviations between actual and plan and recommend corrective actions.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones
  • Direct and oversees project-engineering team and manages conflicts within group
  • Perform team training, assessments and evaluations
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Apply, execute and maintain function related quality issues complying with Global Design Process

5. Special Projects: When assigned, coordinate outside of normal product line responsibility to complete a special project related to program management for LoB (Line of Business)

Qualifications
What we look for:

BS Engineering or other technical degree. MBA preferred.

7 years’ experience in the HVAC or related industry in a product development environment with a minimum of 3 years in project or program management. Strong business acumen and project/program management skills. Ability to manage programs with globally distributed teams. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to apply a balanced understanding of all business elements. Outstanding communication skills as well as good negotiation and leadership skills. Efficient utilization of resources and skills through effective planning and leadership in the program matrix organization
