As a Program Manager on the Azure Sovereign Engineering team, you will be responsible to review, oversee, and assess infrastructural and operations across all clouds to ensure they comply with Government regulations. You will be working in a 24x7 environment with teams of engineers to ensure Azure services meet the highest regulatory requirements. Your work will directly contribute to the success of Azure, supporting US Government users demand for the highest levels of compliance and security.

- Build deep domain expertise on Azure Government technology and processes
- Work in a 24x7 shift based environment to provide oversight of critical actions and troubleshooting efforts
- Inspect actions across the environment to ensure compliance requirements are met and perform remediations as appropriate
- Drive analytics to detect anomalies and trigger response workflows
- Drive requirements to a dedicated engineering team that will drive manual actions into software to improve accuracy, reduce toil, and increase scalability
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively across disciplines and teams
- Passion for delivering customer impact and value
- Superior communications skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience troubleshooting, investigating, and fixing production issues in large scale cloud and/or hosted environments
- Immense intellectual curiosity, and a high threshold to work within highly complex and ambiguous situations
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in teams
- Experience in cloud platforms is a big plus
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
- Candidates must have an active Secret level clearance. This role will require candidates to maintain Secret level clearance.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
