In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the young talent trainee program within Philips IT in the Netherlands, and coordinate the set-up of similar programs in India, and the United States, to step into an accelerated career in the Philips Information Technology function.

The Philips IT young talent trainee program, in the Netherlands, is a two-year program, with three rotations, where we aim to develop young talents that will be part of our global future leaders’ pipeline.

As the program manager, you have a key responsibility in the development of our young talents and in the creation of a strong talent pipeline for the future success of Philips IT. Our aim is to offer young talents, who share our passion to improve the lives of billions, the most exciting and rewarding employee experience.

You are responsible for

  • Engaging different stakeholders who support and sponsor the traineeship program For examples, IT Leadership Team, HR Managers, Assignment mentors, previous trainees, to continuously monitor the value of the program.

  • Working with our current trainees and the mentor community to ensure successful rotations. You will also guide and advise them to ensure an optimal, accelerate development experience making sure they have the right conditions for success.

  • Collaborating with HR Managers and controllers for the operational and financial management of the program.

  • Ensuring continuous improvement through close connects with the market, trainees, IT leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Raising visibility of the program on the graduate labor market, in close collaboration with our Talent Acquisition team, including university visits, or open day events

  • Building and maintaining strong awareness of the program in the company

  • Planning and organizing development initiatives for the trainees , such as inter-vision, guest lectures, business go-sees etc.

You are a part of

The IT Governance team, part of Global Philips IT. You will report directly to the Head of IT Governance and work closely with the HR Business Partner and HR Managers, as well as the network of IT mentors.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience with (early) talent development, and deep insights in the target demographic, including mapping of requirements of future workforce needs, translated into present hiring strategies,

  • An outside-In mentality, passionate about delivering the best employee experience,

  • Great stakeholder management skills for all levels,

  • Proven track record in event planning and project management,

  • Good communicator, both digital and in real life,

  • Assertiveness, drive and agility to make things happen (ideas to action),

  • Pride in perfection and a keen eye for detail.
