Program Manager - International Logistics

Job Description
Within Supply Chain, the Program Manager will be responsible for the Forwarding mode for North America ( and support as needed in ROW), managing the relationship with freight forwarders that result in more efficient, seamless transactions and improved logistics processes. The scope of this role will have primary focus on programs that require thorough knowledge of export and import as well as government regulations to support Eaton’s global manufacturing footprint. The role will also provide logistical trend analysis and performance metrics as it relates to international transportation and logistics and identify logistics cost reduction opportunities while improving operational efficiencies. Reporting into the VP Logistics Program Management and Procurement, this role will work closely with the GPO on sourcing strategies and regional logistics leads to develop and retain business requirements, standardize process and ensure a coherent global distribution and logistics network. Job Responsibilities Effectively manage the international transportation and logistics activities for compliance, streamlining existing processes and procedures, and improving total cycle time In conjunction with GPO manage North America forwarders through standardized monthly transportation metrics based on service, savings, inflation and fuel Be the voice of North America logistics business leads as an input to the Global Forwarding strategy Lead the Global Consolidation Program strategically to expand the scope to other regions and partner with APAC and third-party providers to manage all aspects of this program this includes operational metrics, cost out reporting, lead time considerations Manage North America implementation of forwarding RFPs conducted by the GPO to ensure compliance and consequently forecasted savings and service are achieved Actively manage the monthly international logistics reports to identify saving opportunities and inefficiencies; and communicate them to the appropriate business for implementation Liaison with GTM on government regulations and ensure that service providers properly represent Eaton, and internal Eaton sites abide by applicable regulations, terms and conditions In conjunction with logistics leads and regional logistics leads, support the implementation of distribution centers and CFS through programs such as consolidation, GCP, VMI, FTZ and other as applicable Drive regional programs for consolidation and network optimization Lead Premium Management Execution Strategy and deployment in partnership with Premium Freight Tool owner to ensure management of costs, and proper visibility of Premium reporting. Support Digitization projects as applicable as they interact with International Volumes, effectiveness of routes and end to end visibility of freight data Support the effort to build organization capabilities through the development of the SSC function; focusing on both leadership as well as functional competency development through close monitoring and mentoring Qualifications Education level required Degree in Business management, Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics – MBA is a plus Soft skills Excellent communication skills Teamwork in a complex Multi-cultural environment International experience, multi-language #LI-AR2 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
