YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Program Manager Real Estate Management, are to: 

 

  • Steer US Real Estate projects within multinational and interdisciplinary teams;
  • Initiate, execute and close Real Estate projects;
  • Negotiate Letters of Intent (LOI), Leases and Purchase and Sales Agreements (PSA);
  • Set up and manage internal and external project teams by aligning project requirements and developing approval packages for Steering Committees;
  • Represent or support the local Project lead on Real Estate activities e.g. presentations to Senior Management for implementation planning and approval, project progress/performance, benefits achievement, etc.);
  • Coordinate and manage Real Estate service providers in the course of real estate activities (e.g. brokers and attorneys);
  • Further strengthen the real estate specific network;
  • Review local project consistency of quality, benchmarking and delivery performance of key 3rd party suppliers;
  • Drive continuous improvement;
  • Provide specialist support to other business stakeholders as required.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in engineering, economics, law or real estate with eight years’ of experience or a Master’s of Arts/M.B.A with four years’ of experience;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trustful and effective working relationships with internal and external business partners;
  • Team player with leadership skills and the ability and experience to interact with senior Management;
  • Intercultural sensitivity in a multinational company like Bayer is key for success;
  • Willingness and ability to understand Bayer as a Life Science company;
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and project management skills;
  • Excellent understanding of financial and legal matters in real estate;
  • Passionate, stress-resistant professional achieving high quality standards;
  • Strategic thinking and independent working individual with structured and target oriented approach;
  • Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to travel up to 50%;
