Abbott Biologicals Olst is responsible for the filling of lactulose, the production of hormone preparations and the formulation of Mebeverine. Program Manager Technology

About the role:

The Program Manager Technology executes multidisciplinary technological projects within our production location in Olst. These projects ensure the development and implementation of new technologies, based on global and local technological (market) questions. The Program manager Technology is sparring partner for various stakeholders within or outside the production site and comes up with new, innovative ideas to make production more efficient or to implement new developments and technologies.

Within this role, the main focus will be on our sterile pharmaceutical products. Furthermore, you will be the first point of contact for Product Workstream stakeholders, site operations and other technology departments within the division. Also, you will be responsible for the execution of Workstream and NPI projects within the site.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Initiate and implement optimization of product development technologies and methods (internal or external) in a timely and efficient manner in response to challenges initiated from global or local stakeholders

• Responsible for making project plans, schedules and cost estimations to support budget requests. You will have a leading role in the team as well as of a subject matter expert in your domain

• Responsible for sharing and updating technological knowledge within the site

• Determining the program of requirements ('scope of work'), joint selection of supplier(s) and participate in the execution of the project. Support team members with your scientific approach and be up to date about scientific research in your field of expertise.

• Challenge management with your expertise on a strategic level.

• Evaluate and analyze trends and data from IPC and other manufacturing data to anticipate problems and make technological proposals. Guide and proactively participating in solving potential problems within the operations through RCAs (Root Cause Analysis)

Background and experience:

•            Bachelor or Master’s degree in Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or similar

•            A minimum of 5 years of experience in process industry or packaging industry as a Process Engineer or Project Manager, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment with sterile products

•            Excellent organization and project management skills;

•            Strong analytical and communication skills;

•            Excellent in stakeholder management in a complex environment.
