The purpose of the position is to provide programming support to Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs (including Disaster Risk Reduction) in designing, implementing and monitoring disaster response programs and also other strategic ministry objectives/programs in World Vision China.
Responsibilities:
- Work with field-based staffs and sectors to identify funding gaps, develop concept papers and prepare proposals
- Participate in the design and implementation of baseline surveys, needs assessments, and impact evaluations as necessary
- Coordinate with program, finance and administration staff to ensure operational systems are in place to support field activities
- Ensure that the program systems and staff are working to achieve the project goals and objectives and that the project is maintaining World Vision and donor accountability standards
- Developing key relationships and partnerships with other INGOs, local NGOs and donors, and seek new funding opportunities to support the program as needed
- Work with related parties as well as technical teams, Operations and Finance on lesson learnt/evaluation for continuous ministry improvement
- Ensure high standards of stewardship and accountability for all resources
- Oversee the submission of monthly cash requests for project operations, budget reviews and monthly financial reports
- Track project progress, project expenditure against approved budgets, anticipate any deviations and recommend and take action on relevant and required adjustments
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree/training in Humanitarian, Development, Social Science, Public Health or any related field
- Minimum two year experience working in Humanitarian, social, NGO or public
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning, facilitation, problem solving skills, and passion for innovation
- Financial management and quantitative analytical skill
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment working virtually
- Experience working in a multi-cultural team
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good command of the English and Chinese, both reading and writing. Putonghua speaking is essential
