Programme Lead / Project Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Lead to join the Supply Chain Team in the Civil Aerospace business. This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a close team delivering transfer projects from restructuring initiatives and commodity strategies in support of Supply Chain Development.

The Programme Lead will provide project management expertise and resource to support parts transfer in China, including develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders and interfaces (including external suppliers, SCU management teams, and engine project representatives), develop and implement detailed project plans and facilitate regular internal and external reviews and reporting, promote the use of recognized project management tools and techniques and apply and share best practice, effectively manage the risks through transfer projects, champion compliance with "Source and Method Change" EP3.2.5 as well as lead the project through the transfer process and deliver project milestones and deliverables.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work.
  • Establish, develop and maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package of work
  • Act as the focal point for all aspects related to the packages of work.
  • Provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the creation and management of an integrated set of plans / schedules.
  • Organize and chair schedule review meetings and report areas where executive decisions need to be made.
  • Ensure the implementation of company management processes is effective and efficient.
  • Develop / implement Project Management best practice in line with company management processes.
  • Provision of basic guidance to others regarding the Project Management processes and the operation of the project management systems / tools / methods.
  • Contribution to the local Project Management Community of Practice.

Qualifications

  • Able to work in an Integrated Project Team environment, experience of leading multi-function teams.
  • Bachelor degree (or plus) level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience, like forging and machining, etc.
  • Member of a professional body and working towards a APMPQ qualification or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of metal fabrications (forging/casting and machining) process for Aerospace or Automotive industries (or relevant industries).
  • Good English and Chinese. Understand Chinese culture.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management.
