The appointee is expected to assume a great variety of administrative responsibilities for the Master of Science Programme in eBusiness and Supply Chain Management Programme and the Taught Postgraduate Programmes Office (TPO). Major duties include but not limited to: (a) processing applications and handling admission and registration matters; (b) assisting the Programme Coordinator and the TPO in planning, promoting, coordinating, and managing the self-financed programme; (c) providing secretarial support to the Programme Coordinator, Programme Committees and Course Instructors; (d) contacting and/or inviting external academic or professional speakers for the M.Sc. courses; (e) handling student-related matters, and organizing gatherings and activities for students; (f) dealing with enquiries and maintaining programme-related information and knowledge; (g) liaising with other department and units, applicants and professional bodies on the programme-related matters such as student admissions, registrations, and programme recognitions; and (h) following up any other assignments as appropriate. The candidates with understanding on the China tertiary education system, Master or Bachelor degree in related field, proficient in data analysis and graphic design software, and fluent in Putonghua are preferable. Occasional work on irregular hours including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays may be required. Travels to the Mainland or other places may also be required.
Requirements
Applicants should (i) have a Bachelor’s degree or above , preferably with relevant experience in the tertiary education sector and academic programme management; (ii) have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iii) have a high level of competence in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and webpage applications; (iv) present an impressive initiative, strong report writing ability and good analytical skill to carry out administrative duties independently and efficiently; (v) indicate a great willingness to assume various responsibilities with a passionate attitude and be well-organized, and able to work with minimum supervision and under tight working schedule. Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
