Job Description

The Programming Specialist leads programming of owned (redbull.com and Managed 3rd party (wechat/weibo/ etc.) channels as well as Community Management. They are responsible to build Audience Engagement – reach, frequency and length of interaction across those platforms by making sure to have the right content at the right time at the right outlet. Builds consistent programming plans to increase awareness and relevance of the Brand and its content offering. Drives social media insights and programming best practices through the organization.

  • Owned media Management

    Leads Programming of Owned (redbull.com) ensure smooth RB order & inventory planning

    Ensure regular & efficient content management and local content creation

    Ensure owned media content be shared with relevant local KOLs within priority audience

    Analyze the content performance and browsing behavior of owned media audience and amplify the influence of Red Bull content

    Briefs specific content needs, co-creates Rolling Commissioning Brief with Communications Manager

    Defines audience priorities in accordance with Media Network and Marketing teams. Provides performance and audience insights to optimize audience engagement.

  • Social media Management

    Managed 3rd party ( wechat /weibo / other social ) Channels as well as Community Management

    Ensure regular & efficient collaboration with outsourced social team

    Ensure regular creation and production of local social content

    Analyze social trend and steer the social content production with flexibility

    Runs Social Media and Community Management, builds Social Content Creator and Influencer Network

  • Channels & Platform Champion

    Identifies potential programming partner channels and builds consistent programming and release plans across the network. Grows locally relevant outlets through partnerships.

    Curate social voices on upcoming social platforms and do try-out content on those platforms with a linking to sales mindset

    Proactively explore the presence of Austrian Red Bull as opposed to the local version in vertical media to communicate with our priority audience in China such as Football/Bike/Dance/Motorsports etc.

    Track the content performance and analyze the audience journey to link the brand awareness to product interest

    Defines roles of owned and managed channels, identifies potential programming partner channels and builds consistent programming and release plans across the network. Grows locally relevant outlets through partnerships.

    Optimizes channel performance and experience through scheduling, featuring, customized functionalities and smooth consumer journeys. Develops activation plans with Brand and Communications departments

Your experience includes:

(proven performance in)

  • Digital Media executive with at least 5 years of leadership experience in digital programming of channels/platforms. Related roles in similar sized Media Networks, such as Communications Specialist

  • Expert in identifying where audiences live digitally and consume content and how to engage with them/program content against their consumption behavior

  • Marketing background or affinity

  • Social nature

  • Excellent industry knowledge

  • Analytic thinking with ability to translate into strategy and concrete initiatives

  • Story teller

  • Curious, open, creative

  • Leadership skills, good presenter and motivator

  • Problem solver and good mediator aligning and coordinating conflict of interest

  • University degree or equivalent

  • Fluent in English (verbal & written) and Mandarin
