Centre for Entrepreneurship
Project Assistant II (Ref. 2000010M) (Closing date: August 25, 2020)
The Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) pursues research, education and practice in Entrepreneurship. The Centre brings together scholars from different Departments within the University, attracts talents from the business community, involves CUHK in promoting entrepreneurship in Hong Kong, and provides a nexus for fundraising.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing assistance in the Centre’s training workshops or study tours; (b) co-ordinating the Centre’s seminars, conferences and events; (c) providing assistance in preparing publicity materials and maintaining the Centre’s website; (d) performing general clerical tasks, including handling mails, answering telephone enquiries and filing; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (ii) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or related disciplines; (iii) fast and accurate typing skill; (iv) at least 1 year’s work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions and/or in public relations from well-established commercial organisations; (v) proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Chinese word-processing; (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (vii) good interpersonal skills; (viii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (ix) the ability to work independently, irregular working hours will be required. Experience in project management, management scheduling, project calendaring and project co-ordination will be advantageous.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
