Project Assistant II (Collections and Registration Team)
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in creating and maintaining records of objects in the Art Museum’s care; (b) implementing policies and procedures concerning art registration, storage, transportation, and insurance of museum collections and loans; (c) supporting daily administrative needs of the Collections and Registration team; (d) updating and consolidating the Art Museum Collections database and archives; (e) assisting in the preparation of exhibitions, tutorials and viewing sessions; (f) performing internal and external liaison work; and (g) performing other related tasks as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects(including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (ii) a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Art History, History, Cultural Management or related fields (or equivalent), or related experience; (iii) fast and accurate typing skill; (iv) knowledge of or interest in fine arts, in particular Chinese art; (v) a proactive, independent, well-organised and detail-oriented work attitude; (vi) good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member; (vii) a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; and (viii) proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Experience in art handling or database management software will be advantageous.

Appointment will intially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
