Project Assistant (at the rank of IT Attendant) in the University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) (Ref.: 495502) (to commence on July 2, 2019 on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with experiences in digital content management and the ability to create, manage and update engaging content for digital platforms. They should have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese, strong analytical and data visualization skills, and the ability to work on a tight schedule. They should also be a dynamic team player, passionate, detail-minded, self-motivated, and willing to take on responsibility. Familiarity with digital marketing tools (including video editing and Photoshop, Google analytics, etc.) is required.
The appointee will work for the new project ‘Digital Dialogues’ and handle the following tasks:
- Develop and manage social media calendars and contents for all digital platforms, esp. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Weibo and Wechat;
- Build strong audience relationships through social media interaction;
- Identify and communicate internally digital marketing trends and share insights;
- Monitor and analyse social media and digital platforms metrics for the improvement of audience engagement and optimise campaigns;
- Provide strategic social media advice and guidance to meet the Museum’s objectives;
- Prepare regular reports for museum staff to review;
- handle eDM (email Direct Marketing);
- Stay up-to-date with digital technologies developments;
- Learn about Museum activities by joining and helping facilitate outreach programmes.
