Project Co-ordinator II (Ref. 200000QF) (Closing date: June 10, 2020)
The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1963, the CUHK Business School has gained world recognition of nurturing business leaders with immense contributions in Asia Pacific. The School has been offering a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (MBA, MSc, MAcc, EMBA, MPhil, PhD) with over 4,600 students, as well as executive education. It has one of the most extensive alumni networks in the region, with over 35,000 alumni around the world. To support the strategic development, the School is looking for a seasoned project coordinator to support a collaborative teaching programme with its partners.
Assisting the Programme Director and Programme Manager to achieve strategic goals, the appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting and organising programme publicity and brand building campaigns in both mass media and social media; (b) assisting in student recruitment through relationship building, and organising both promotional events and student/alumni activities; (c) guiding potential applicants in the whole admission exercise and application procedures including application filing, admission screening, visa application and collection, and other administrative services; (d) liaising with external and internal parties/units; (e) providing operational support to the programme on academic and student matters; and (f) performing other impromptu administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Media & Communication, Information Technology or a related discipline; (ii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification marketing and/or management and/or academic administration experience, preferably with some exposure to higher education; (iii) strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with high-level executives in the financial sector, business partners, potential and current students, alumni and other relevant stakeholders; (iv) knowledge of and experience in mainland Chinese business culture, especially in the financial industry (experience in brand-building through social media and other online channels will be advantages); (v) experience in marketing and/or brand-building, managing loyalty programmes, organising and running high-level social events; and (vi) an excellent command of written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). A good command of Cantonese is preferred.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
