Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
This position will  handle translation projects in the financial communication field and will focus more specifically on annual reports (called “Document De Référence”) for listed companies based in France. This position will serve as the regular contact person between our clients (internal and external) and our global network of linguists. The Project Coordinator is responsible for communicating specific detailed instructions to linguists, and managing workflows and processes. They are accountable for the final quality assurance of translation and real-time, accurate recording of activities.
 
Key Responsabilities
 

v Analyse documents, create project analysis in order to provide relevant information for the sales administrators to send quotes to clients. Identify workflow, create planning and define relevant Turnaround time. Review assigned jobs and assess the need for additional information, e.g. compilation of glossaries, reference material, list of acronyms, technical terminology, and translation memories

vManage translation teams and linguistic assets to ensure compliance with DFS LS production workflows and processes. Ensure that quality and turnaround standards are met

vSelect and assign translation teams, negotiate rates and deadlines and coordinate production with translators, editors, in-country client reviewers, typesetters and Customer Service Reps

vKeep Salesperson/Customer Service Rep updated at all times

vKeep project admin updated at all times and maintain accurate records of all costs

vCheck project costs for accuracy and match to purchase order

vExercise sound judgment in keeping supervisor informed of potential difficulties

vInform supervisor of all issues affecting cost, quality and turnaround

vCheck accuracy of translation prior to client delivery or typesetting

vTake ownership of the Account assigned to the PC and build close relationship with the client to provide excellent client service and work with Sales and TL on a strategy to grow the account.

 

Qualifications and attributes
 

v  Bachelors and/or Masters’ degree in Translation.Localisation or equivalent experience

v  Fluency in English and French

v  Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat) and basic knowledge of programming languages (html, xml)

v  Familiarity with desktop publishing software (Indesign, QuarkXPress, Framemaker) a plus

v  Linguistic skills including creating glossaries, assessing quality and completeness of translations

v  Advanced translation memory experience including Studio, Multiterm glossary and file management

v  Project management skills: create/follow complex schedule and adapt when appropriate

v  Minimum of 2-3 years previous project management experience in translation services, previous experience in managing financial translations like regulated     information (Annual reports / DDR) or financial reports a plus

v  Ability to prioritize workload while handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment

v  Ability to work to tight schedule and update trackers in a timely manner

v  Excellent communication skills and the ability to accurately convey detailed instructions to multilingual vendors

v  Attention to detail

v  Excellent customer service as this role requires regular communication with clients and vendors

v  Ability to analyse client complaints and provide relevant corrective and preventive actions.
