How will you make an impact?

As a Project Director you will join our ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) and manufacturing site in Uppsala. The division has its headquarters in Uppsala, where it develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,800 employees worldwide, of which approximately 600 work at the Uppsala site, IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy diagnostics and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
 
The ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) mission is to dramatically improve the management of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases by providing healthcare professionals with advanced diagnostic technologies and clinical expertise. By striving to meet these goals, we can both offer healthcare professionals and patients around the world the benefits of predictability and earlier diagnosis.
 
The Division includes the following Business Units:
• Allergy: The Allergy business unit develops diagnostic tests for allergen sensitization to aid in the diagnosis and management of allergic diseases, such as Asthma.
• Autoimmunity: The Autoimmunity business unit works to drive conversion to our superior technology platform. We invest in innovation that augments our core offering and improves diagnostic precision.
• Systems: The Systems business unit works to develop automated processing systems to enable screening of a large panel of allergens, allergen components, antigens, and autoantibodies. The Systems BU works to ensure regulatory product cyber security compliance and realize selective workflow improvements, while bridging to next generation systems.

What will you do?

As the Project Director, you will play a key role in the on-going work to bring the sites of IDD to the next level, ensuring that manufacturing continues to meet the company’s increased demands on growth. You will join the Operations Leadership team and report directly into Vice President Operations, based in Uppsala. 
  • Driving strategic initiatives within Global Operations.
  • Take accountability for program management of the overall site development plans and digitalization process ensuring delivered projects meet the documented program requirements and are completed on time and within budget (for all three sites).
  • Interprets project sponsor's needs and develop a project scoop that will efficiently meet those needs.
  • Participate in the preparation of request for proposal associated with procuring system/consultant services and assists in the preparation of contract documents to ensure the intent of these proposals are being delivered.

 Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Has extensive experience from leading development projects at a manufacturing site within Life Science 
  • Has strong leadership experiences and skills 
  • Is familiar with the quality requirements for IVD or medical device products
  • Has a change management and strategic mindset being highly proactive and independent 
  • Is a strong network builder who likes to work cross-functionally with colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external 
  • Has excellent written and oral English communication skills and preferably also Swedish
  • A master’s degree in engineering or equivalent is seen as a clear advantage
