Project Director for Taiwan Airport Terminal

Job Description
The Project Director is the general manager of the project, and should have good coordination, communication and integration abilities with adequate professional work experiences. The Project Director should represent the vendor to have full-time participation in the project and is responsible for the implementation of the project contract.
The major job responsibilities are detailed as follows;
  • Represent PMO (project team formed by Company and consortium partners) as project director and liaise with the Client & Project Stakeholders on the PMO’s overall performance and to ensure alignment of execution strategies in delivering achievement of Key Project Performance Indicators
  • Review, establish and validate Project Goals and Objectives and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Support PMO to mitigate/resolve any outstanding Client concerns/issue
  • Apply/demonstrate the highest standard of business ethics and compliance with Company’s core values
  • Proactively direct any action required to mitigate potential project problems and/or reactively instigate any major problem solving initiatives required as all stages of the projects
  • Ensure that the client is fully engaged, at all times, in the decision making process.
  • Develop, in conjunction with the client and PMO, the project execution strategy for each stage of the works, and oversee the preparation and maintenance of the project management plan and project communication protocols.
  • Proactively intervene during the execution stage to prevent or mitigate delay. Advise the client of any necessary remedial measures to prevent or mitigate delay.




Job Requirements


Technical Competencies
  • Strong background in project management, coupled with proven project abilities in leading multi-discipline engineering Joint Venture projects at Airports.
  • Proven track record of maintaining customers, subordinate relations, as well as HSE, Quality and Assurance and Project Standards as a dynamic and experienced Project Director
  • Must have extensive experience in the Airport industry and thorough understanding of Smart Airport technology trends and multi-discipline technical challenges associated with expansion projects.
  • Must be commercially astute with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Must have managed at least two major projects of capex not less than US$500m, and have more than 25 years of professional working experience
  • Must have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills
  • Must have a deep understanding of PCM project delivery model, deliverables and General Consulting requirements.

Qualifications and Certification
  • Must be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with a secondary higher qualification desirable.
  • more than 20 years of airport build-up or related experience
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification is a plus
  • English fluency is a must, Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
