Responsibilities: • Facilitate compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety & Health Standards (OSHS) guidelines. • Provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. • Safety Officer should be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies. • Establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to environment, health and safety. • Develop and implement a construction safety programs • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.) • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures • Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation • Initiate and organize OHS training of workers • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment) • Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc. • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management Qualifications: • Minimum of five (5) year experience in project construction safety and health • Must be a licensed safety officer • Must be a DOLE-Registered Safety Officer • Can create and implement project safety plan • Graduate of any technical and or medical course • Have good communication skills and proficient in reporting • Preferably residents of Batangas or willing to be assigned in Batangas We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
