Golf Pride is a world leader in golf grips.  Golf Pride develops and manufactures golf grips for Retail and OEM customers. The Project Engineer is responsible to supports product development in the Tainan, Taiwan manufacturing facility. The Taiwan Project Engineer will coordinate cross-functional teams for quick sample and process development for rubber molding and finishing at the Tainan R&D facility.

 

 

50. Review project requests and assessing risk with the local team before providing recommendations and guidance. Focusing on early collaboration will help expedite future program development.
50. Review of the transfer pack (both in physical and digital versions) and the communication with local staff to prioritize work focused on the development of robust production tooling, processes and material to support mass production.
50. Make the decisions needed for efficient mass production, that adhere to global standards and yield product that matches the approved product specifications listed in the transfer pack.
50. Sample stage: Coordinate the quick turnaround of prototype samples to support product development needs.
50. Pilot stage: Develop, control, and approve all molding and finishing processes for all products developed for manufacture in the Taiwan factory.  Prepare all processes for PPAP readiness.
50. Strive to improve processes and production efficiency. Ensure all processes are documented and recorded. Manage the timely upload of all associated documentation to support product launch in Eaton’s internal global system.
50. Standardize molding and finishing processes where applicable.  Strive to use existing processes when justified.  Initiate improved processes for improved efficiency. Develop and collaborate new manufacturing processes in a Global Team.
50. Establish common processes worldwide with the goal of minimizing the number of processes developed.
50. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to measure process effectiveness on an objective scale.  Determine acceptable limits of processing variables.
50. Establish best DOE practices for processing: determine the variance between materials and machinery capability to optimize process standards. Ultimately create calibration standards of raw material with machinery to maximize plant productivity.

Qualifications

50. Majored in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Materials Science from an accredited institution. Master is preferred.
50. Polymer or rubber or molding industry (2+ year).
50. Project Leader (2+ year).
50. Proficient English Language
50. Basic Japan Language (big plus to have)
