This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring effective and efficient project management of flexible pavement and utility works, overall project planning and monitoring of safety, quality, construction as well as financial aspects of the relevant works;
• Ensuring that the asphalt mix, crushed aggregate base and sub-base course are designed and as per specific project requirements;
• Ensuring that the subgrade material for pavement works are approved as per the specification requirements;
• Ensuring that the pavement corridor model submitted by the consultants conforms the airfield geometric requirements and the design intent;
• Assisting in leading design consultants and construction contractors to ensure that program and budget requirements are met;
• Ensuring project requirements are incorporated effectively into detailed design, works contract drawings and specifications effectively; and
• Proactively identifying design and construction interface problems, investigating alternatives with designers and contractors and liaising with project stakeholders to provide effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 6 years’ relevant experience, of which a minimum of 3 years should be in project management
• Member of HKIE or other equivalent professional bodies
• Experience in management of flexible pavement works design, planning, construction and site supervisory works
• Experience in design and construction supervision of airfield works preferred
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications and project management software tools
