This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.         

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Senior Project Engineer in Civil / Geotechnical works. His / her responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical assistance in site supervision of civil / utilities / ELS works;
• Ensuring that the contractors' proposals and works are technically safe, sound and cost effective;
• Undertaking interface / coordination related to civil / utilities / ELS works;
• Proactively identifying design and construction interface problems, investigating alternatives with designers and contractors and liaising with project stakeholders to provide effective solutions; and
• Review of technical reports and providing technical support to site supervision teams including responding to request for information and preparing design change documents

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or other related disciplines
• Member of HKIE or other equivalent professional bodies. At least 6 years’ experience, of which minimum 2 years in ELS design
• Experience in the management of civil/utilities construction; ELS design/construction and site supervisory works
• Experience in construction supervision in operational areas and in the management of statutory submission to the Buildings Department and relevant authorities is preferred
• Previous working experience in performing T3 duties under SSSP
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications and project management software tools
• Knowledge of Plaxis, Seep/W, Slope/W, Oasys or similar software. Knowledge of BIM / CADD software (Microstation or AutoCAD) is an advantage
