Project Engineer will execute site engineering projects  and interact across  site functional groups to achieve project objectives.  These projects will be both process related projects, such as Technology Transfer/New Product Introductions, and Capital projects, typically <$5M in value.

Primary responsibilities include execution of site capital projects meeting project objectives related safety, Quality complaiance and technical requirements .  Responsible to lead all aspects of their project(s): planning, cost, schedule, risk, communications, resources, team dynamics and performance, implementation, monitoring, completion and follow-up.

SPECIFIC RESPOSABILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Basic Qualifications:

Implement projects by working closely with multiple disciplines, including manufacturing, facilities, engineering, process development and quality assurance Lead all aspects of enigineering projects intiation, change controls, execution, Design coordination, procurement, asset creation, qualification , handover and close out Responsbile for executing projects with all coporate/site engiering requipments and Environmental Health & Safety Responsbile for safe execution of projects including ensuring safety trainings, pre-job safety breifigns,  managing required permits , review contractor JHAs/ Risk management and leading hazops etc. Serve as a Engineering technical lead for site capital projects and review design ,vendor and contractor submittals Represent and update key project milestones, status in daily WCT meetings Manage all aspects of their projects including, planning, cost, schedule, risk, communication, resources, monitoring completion and follow up. Works closely with site document controllers to ensure engineering , qualficiaton and project documents are updated timely manner and ensures compliance with document management SOPs. Assists project manager and engineering team in archieving vendor documentation in amgen document management system Assesses and resolves all high priority project risks as they are encountered Liases with external parterner such as A/E  companies, construction management companies, vendors and contactor during exectuon of projects Forms strong relationships and works collaboratively across teams Experience utilizing critical thinking and problem solving skills to achieve results Abitliy to execute multiple projects under fast paced environment Possess strong learning agility and technical leadership with ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans Experience with MS Project, Excel and SharePoint Sound analytical and presentation skills

Basic Education & Experience

•Master’s degree and 3 years of Engineering or Project Management experience OR

•Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Engineering or Project Management experience OR

•Associate’s degree and 10 years of Engineering or Project Management experience OR

•High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Engineering or Project Management experience            

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering background focusing on cGMP manufacturing  and utilities projects for Biotech / API plants
• Knowledge of biotech / API manufacturing processes and the functions that support them
• Strong project execution skills, proficiency in project management methodology and tools
• Project management certifications and Safety certificaitons ( WAH Manager) are preffered
• Knowledge of CCMS, Autocad, BIM and other 3D modeling tools is prefrred
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Exeperience in Commissioning and qualification of GMP equipments and automation  is preffered
• Good knowledge of computer systems using data base programs, scheduling software, spreadsheets, power point (presentation applications), word processing and e-mail.
• Ability to resolve conflicts, make disciplined decisions and handle multiple projects at one time
• Good organizational skills
• Experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, EPA)

• Management of contractors and vendors.
• Flexibility to work off-hours.
