Are you a leader in Facilities projects, supporting business and operations strategies? As a Project Engineer - Facilities & Engineering in Philadelphia, PA, you will lead all phases of a project including business case justification, project initiation, sanctioning, planning, and execution in support of the flu franchise.
Join us at our Philadelphia site, which manufactures a life-saving influenza vaccine. Our product is aseptically filled into sprayers for nasal administration. The Philadelphia site consists of two geographic locations. The manufacturing facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia has about 140 full-time employees and the Bensalem storage and distribution facility has about 5 employees. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our influenza vaccine is sold in the US, UK and other countries. Operations continue year round, with the production season being in the summer (typically May – August). During the production season, approximately 100 temporary contractors are added to the workforce.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for but are not limited to:
- Management and execution of all elements of delivering engineering Facilities projects.
- Identify and recommend best business proposition while you develop a project plan, and then deliver the project plan to achieve business results.
- Lead project status, execution and provide ongoing status communications. Drive team accountability for work you're doing and ensure projects meet achievements.
- Provide timely updates to Project Templates, Dashboards, and forms. Exhibit strong facilitation skills, lead and deliver solutions.
- Raise risks, issues; lead delivery of tactical and achievable mitigation and contingency planning.
- Ensure compliance by team members and third parties by (a) positively reinforcing the Code of Conduct and Policies and Standards, (b) ensuring completion of all required training, (c) encouraging openness in which employees raising questions or concerns, and (d) immediately addressing and reporting, as appropriate, instances of non-compliance.
- Lead accountability to include Ethical Conduct and Compliance, Team Management, Performance Management, Individual Development Planning, Talent Management, Recruitment, People information, Safety, Health & Environment accountability, and Fiscal and Financial awareness.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Business with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an engineering project management role OR minimum of ten (10) years’ Engineering project management experience in lieu of a BS degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Desired:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, MBA, and/or Six Sigma certification
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a pharma/bio-pharma industry
