More from us : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzZfovyFZcY As a Project Engineer you will provide pre-sales Project Engineering support to the sales team, application engineers and sales support staff. You will provide post sales engineering support to the Project Manager. You drive consistent delivery of high-quality solutions and are responsible for assessing & reviewing technical scope risk and technical compliance risk. You will contribute to value engineering (reducing cost and size to be more competitive). The Project Engineer is a positive advocate for the client within Eaton and will professionally represent Eaton at all times. Your main duties : Proactively providing the highest level of customer service and liaising closely with external and internal stakeholders Developing sound business relationships with clients based on quality of service, integrity and Eaton values Providing pre-sales support to the sales team in the early identification, assessment, tracking and resolution of technical/engineering risk and management of those risks to margin. Providing post-sales support to the Project Manager in early identification, assessment, tracking and resolution of technical/engineering risk and management of those risks to margin Managing client quality/specification compliance data and using specification compliance data knowledge (e.g. Compliance/Deviation/Exception statement) to limit scope creep and help drive change orders Good technical familiarity with the Eaton product range and the ability to leverage this knowledge within the Eaton team Managing the production of manufacturing drawings for client approval. Managing production of initial Technical Submissions, Continually searching for ways to improve the way we do business, to upgrade existing processes, deploy new initiatives, and recommend new solutions based on analysis and client trends Qualifications What we are looking for: Excellent electrical engineering knowledge – bachelor’s degree or HND/C level qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering Minimum 3-5 years of electrical industry experience required. Detailed knowledge of as many of the following as possible: LV switchgear, MV switchgear, transformers, BMS/SCADA systems and UPS systems Desirable: Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project AutoCAD CSCS/ECS card Possess and maintain a valid driving license (must) Legally authorised to work in the UK and EU What we offer: At Eaton, we aspire to be a model of inclusion and diversity in our industry—a place where everyone matters and everyone belongs.
