YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Co-op, are to: 

• Be involved on a project existing asset replacements or new purchases regarding facility and production equipment upgrades/improvements;
• Be involved with project execution including: scope development, cost estimating, procurement activities, construction management, commissioning, startup, qualification, and documentation management;
• Experience technical support of day-to-day production through troubleshooting operating equipment abnormalities on an active workshop floor;
• Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for 3-D component designs, modifications to existing designs, and creating 3-D prototypes;
• Work with engineers that have varying levels of experience on their project tasks;
• Be assigned one or more projects to manage independently;

• Ability to commit to a 6-month assignment.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline;
• Ability to be organized, detailed and task oriented;
• Ability to analyze a situation and develop a solution;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursing a degree in  Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Material Science Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering;
• Proficiency in MS Office applications;
• Knowledge of Operational Excellence;
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems;
• Knowledge of Digitalization Platforms;
• Previous project management education or experience;
• AutoCAD version 2014 or newer experience.
