Responsibilities

1) Conduct technical assessments in accordance with in­house operation procedures and guidelines;

2) Ensure the accuracy and quality of project assessment;

3) Assist in the delivery of BEAM Plus standardisation agenda and engagement initiative.

4) Support the planning and implementation of Standards Enhancement Roundtable by contributing ideas.

5) Assist in developing and executing standardised forms and standards for the BEAM Plus assessment tool and revision of BEAM Plus and other technical manuals.

6) Co-ordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders such as statutory bodies, professional groups and professional institutions to obtain views and comments on the BEAM Plus assessment standards.

7) Provide technical support to Committees and Task Forces.

8) Ensure the technical team in compliance with regulatory guidelines and procedures of BSL.

9) Arrange and attend meetings, prepare minutes and report for the Committees.

10) Perform ad­hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

1) Bachelor’s degree or higher in Built Environment / Architecture / Surveying / Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Energy Science and Engineering / Environmental Science and Engineering/ Sustainability, or related discipline.

2) Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant local green and sustainability design consultancy. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered as Project Executive (Designated).

3) Solid knowledge on BEAM Plus and / or LEED assessment procedures, policies, rules and regulations.

4) Knowledge on sustainable built environment analysis, such as building energy simulation, thermal comfort, ventilation and daylighting, building services installation, acoustics and indoor air quality.

5) Good understanding of Energy Use and Indoor Environmental Quality categories of BEAM Plus would be an advantage.

6) Knowledge of eQUEST, Energy Plus, ANSYS FLUENT, Star-CCM+, PHOENICS, IES, Radiance, etc. would also be an advantage.

7) BEAM Pro, LEED AP, WELL AP, BREEAM, GBL Manager, etc. with solid experience in assessment preparation and submission is preferred.

8) Be able to work both independently and in a team with good interpersonal and communication skills.

9) Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

10) Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
