Responsible for the timely delivery of relevant, accurate and quality completion of Finance Workstream deliverables, raising risks and issues in a timely and relevant manner, and providing operational insight and support to comply with new accounting standards, IFRS 17 and 9.

• Lead the enhancement and implementation of Philam Group supported applications (e.g., Lifelines) to comply with the data requirements of the IFRS 17 central solution, and to streamline the IFRS 17 and 9 processes.
• Support AIA Group Office in the implementation of the following:
• IFRS 17 Financial Reporting & GL interfaces (enhancements to SAP GL, BI and BPC)
• IFRS 9 solutions (including SPPI & ECL)
• Review and sign-off both the Philam Group and AIA Group Office (GO) specific business requirement document related to Finance Systems (SAP GL, BI and BPC for IFRS 17 and FAM for IFRS 9)
• Support GO’s SIT (System Integration testing).
• Lead the team in activities for UAT (User Acceptance Testing), Transition, Parallel run and Data cutover in relation to Finance Systems and requirements.
• Support the Finance Lead in the analysis of the IFRS 17 and 9 financials for the UAT sign-off.
• Support the Finance Lead in the review and analysis of IFRS 17 and 9 financial reports generated during parallel run.
• Assist in the change management activities for Finance.
• Conduct trainings and develop training materials as required.
• Ensure the proper auditable documentation, accurate and timely delivery of the workstream’s requirements.
• Evaluate issues and risks and coordinate with the Finance Lead for appropriate resolution / escalation.
• Provide regular and timely update of status of deliverables in the SteerCo meetings.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned by the Finance Lead and Program Manager in order to meet other project requirements.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education – Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree holder
• Experience – with at least 5 years relevant experience in Financial Reporting, and in Financial Statements preparation with at least 2 years in supervisory level, with any of the top 10 life insurance companies.  Work experience with a reputable audit firm a plus.
• Certifications/licenses – Certified Public Accountant
• Special skills - Has thorough knowledge and exposure in IFRS and PFRS especially insurance accounting and reporting standards; knowledgeable in internal control practices; proficient in MS Office applications; has advanced knowledge in SAP, Business Intelligence, with good command in English (both oral and written).
