Job Description
Eaton’s VGNA division is currently seeking a Project Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes facility. The Project Leader is responsible for lead execution of projects leveraging formal phase-gate process (PROLaunch), including NPI/STP and/or other significant CAPEX projects (>150K USD). Supports Program Manager as customer liaison at specified periods in the life of the project, coordinate appropriate communication and documentation (both internal and external to the facility), provide direction and manage all aspects of the project development. Some activities related with the position will be: To manage and direct all the activities encompassed with his assigned projects. Establish and track progress of project scope, timing and budget, and assess risks with Program manager. Lead the respective Project Teams in satisfying key project deliverables and timing to ensure customer expectations and deliverables are satisfied. Participate in PROLaunch & OpA assessments Assist in identifying areas for Continuous Improvement of Project Team effectiveness and efficiency. Participate Management Project Reviews within the framework of Eaton’s PROLaunch. Act as the customer liaison during the development, trial and launch phases of projects, to ensure customer expectations and deliverables are satisfied. Participate in Request of Cost (RFC) for New Products, Lines Transfers and/or changes in existing products. To manage Capital Expense (CAPEX), De-capitalization and Start-up Expenses management for assigned projects. Facilitate activity targeted at achieving incremental & breakthrough improvement using methods such as Six Sigma, ELS, value added/ value engineering analysis, etc. Comply with requirements of Quality Management Systems. Complete assigned EHS action items. Participate in Safety coaching. Submit Kaizen Burst ideas to Improve Safety. Perform weekly safety checks. Lead department safety team. See attachment for more details Demonstrate the application of the 8 CIF modules and support related initiatives on daily basis through establishing, maintaining and complying his/her Standard Work and other tools. Participate in Kaizen events, Lean Council and Continuous Improvement teams when required. Generate ideas for improvement according with the local programs. Implement and optimize Lean Management tools. Sustain the ELLS tools (VSM, 5´s, TMP, STW, Set up, Problem Solving, Materials Management and 6 Sigma) to drive the continuous improvement performance when apply. #LI-AP01 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or equivalent experience required 5 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment Project management Demonstrated knowledge of EBS, EBE, ELSS, PROLaunch, MCO Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes (APQP, IATF 16949, PPAP) Strong interpersonal communications, negotiation and leadership skills. Basic understanding of Eaton Financial systems and ability to discern issues. Knowledge of customer requirements (CSR) Bilingual (Spanish/English) Up to 10 percent travel.
