To work under the Project Director for the project “Hakka Life Experience Village at Lai Chi Wo” in North East New Territories as a model of village revival;

• To oversee, engage and work with Architectural & Heritage Consultants, Structural & BS Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Staff and Contractors to ensure the timely completion of the works to conserve, restore for adaptive re-use of about 14 or more village houses under a fixed budget. The project will be implemented with reference to best practices in nature, cultural and architectural conservation and environmental protection, and meeting the relevant statutory requirements;
• To incorporate the requirements of hospitality service and guest licensing in the house restoration;
• To engage with villagers, stakeholders including government officials, local politicians, NGOs and practitioners in Lai Chi Wo;
• To help plan and oversee the delivery of experiential learning activities as part of the project;
• To manage and undertake office administrative duties.

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in building projects and preference will be given to those who have experience in relevant architectural conservation projects
• Member of a professional institute in building/architecture or equivalent
• Proven track record in project management in Hong Kong
• Familiar with Hong Kong building and guest house ordinances
• Good language and inter-personal skills
