Job Description

About The Role:

To manage all assigned projects in the most efficient manner possible in order to ensure client retention, satisfaction and ultimately repeat revenue growth.

Through effective written and verbal communication ensure that project teams are clear to the scope, complexity and expectations of clients for all projects and that the clients are kept fully informed as to the progress, position and financial status of their projects. To manage and motivate the extended project team ensuring actions are clearly delegated and that resource/quality issues are escalated in a timely fashion to Management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Management of mid-sized translation projects independently
  • Assist senior project managers to co-manage large or complex accounts
  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Coordination of translation projects with clients (mainly Japan clients), linguists, DTP team, inter-departmental units etc.
  • Compilation and management of project estimates and schedules
  • Adherence to ISO and best practice processes, with effective and accurate maintenance of project documentation (project handovers, status reporting etc.)
  • Management of linguistic assets and all project related materials with accurate version control
  • On-time delivery within budget and to client’s quality requirements
  • Project planning and implementing best methodology and process
  • Accurate and timely invoicing
  • Attending conference calls / status update meetings with clients and internal teams

 

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years localisation experience
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English in order to communicate with both clients and internal project teams
  • Team player, willing to be devoted into the team building
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Analytical and structured problem solving
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks with a high degree of independence and ownership
  • Desire to learn new knowledge and technology
  • Good time management
  • Experience and knowledge of CAT tools, DTP tools (Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, etc.), XML-based structured authoring is a plus
