Job Description
Authority Authority to manage programs and projects along with essential information related to them of technical, financial, commercial, and operational nature. Job Summary The Project Lead Manager manages assigned plant projects in operations and functional areas to meet deadlines, performance and achieve site/corporate financial goals. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans capturing key technical requirements and deliverables and outlining project tasks, milestones, status, and resource allocation. Also develop effective cross-organization relationships, efficient collaboration, and communication across the business and with stakeholders. Support the full deployment of project management impacting High five metrics successfully. Strong leadership, accountability, and knowledge in PMP. Job Responsibilities Develop the project scope and requirements, tracking and managing changes in scope throughout the project lifecycle. Estimate, manage and track, project costs, risks, and capital spending against established targets. Establish and maintain metrics for project financials, quality, technical performance and delivery through all PRO Launch phases. Manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously to meet defined objectives while prioritizing and resolving conflicts. Define and delineate work breakdown for all functional areas. Lead and manage an Integrated Project Team (IPT) in a functional matrix environment. Direct others without formal reporting relationships across multiple functions and/or sites. Implement effective risk management. Work with the IPT to identify project risks then proactively formulate and execute risk mitigation actions. Integrate all requirements, risks and goals into a complete, integrated project plan – PRO Launch. Coordinate root-cause investigations and plans – track corrective action implementation. Contribute in the EBS Pull to ensure targets and action lines are aligned with the strategy, ensuring projects are defined on critical opportunities. Lead Monthly internal review to define actions plan to achieve monthly targets – PRO Launch. Present in Decision Gate Committee (DGC) projects status. Sharing of best practices as result of internal and external benchmarking activities. Create and manage centralized plant level projects deck Champion and coach project management activities within the plant Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. #LI-MB2 #LI-MB2 Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineer or similar from an accredited institution. Years and area of experience required: 5-7 years of professional experience in engineering (product support). Knowledge of electric power distribution products is a plus. Technical Knowledge: Combined experience in project management, product engineering or engineering operations – PMP is preferred Strong analytical and customer focus skills Experience with resource planning, budget management, Project Management software tools Ability to develop financial and resource models for projects and activities Ability to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans around them English communication proficiency Lean Manufacturing knowledge Strong leadership skills, must be able to lead organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement Achieving Performance Excellence through the use of Project Management tools and methodologies Projects Flawless launch, On time and Within Budget Capex control for projects assigned Functional Competencies: PMP – Project Management Professional PRO Launch (APQP) Analytical / Statistical Tools & Methods Lean Six Sigma Tools Continuous Improvement Manufacturing and Business Processes World class manufacturing concepts Cost Deployment.
